Exhibitor and sponsorship Opportunities

Our primary focus is to create empowerment, posistivity, and confidence wiithin the Black Business Industry. We are therefore offering a fantastic opportunity to collaborate and provide exhibitor space to a select few.

Our targeted footfall is in excess of 300 and with 200 wokshop spaces we feel that this is achieveable when coupled with our extensive database and input from influential marketers in the industry.

Black history month is an important event in our calendars and we aim to encourage members of our community to come out in full support.

As HairStories explores, explains and celebrates black history, we expect to attract a wider demographic compared to attendees who just attend hair shows, which offers a unique opportunity to increase your brands’ awareness.

We invite you to join our 3 step process; attract, engage and align, enabling you to gain a weath of benefits through our strategically planned event format.

Join us for a day filled with personal anecdotes, artistic imagery and interactive workshops that seek to celebrate African hair, the importance of African heritage and the multitude of varied hair journeys that exist. There will also be a variety of stalls for you to browse and shop the best in arts, crafts, fashion and natural hair products.

We are named Ujima as our organisational ethos is guided by the Kwanzaa principle of Ujima (Collective Work and Responsibility). Founded by Katrina Emmanuel (Mane Divas), Merissa Hylton (Sankofa Creative Co.) and Belinda Raji (BEUNIQUE Hair Care), we aim to be about much more than just hair and products.

We seek to bring African centred businesses together for the betterment of the community and the celebration of African culture.

HairStories

HairStories seeks to celebrate African hair through the ages and the importance of Afircan heritage. The event is designed to impart knowledge through a range of workshops covering hair, holistic health and the African experience.

Don't just come along - take part!

Every black woman has hair stories, personal and shared memories that have transformed the relationship they have with their crowning glory. From getting your knuckles clapped when reaching up to feel how many canerows were left to go; to feeling the burn of a relaxer on your scalp, considered by many a rite of passage; to taking and no longer being fearful of the scissors and doing the 'big chop'. There are so many hair stories, and we want you to share yours.
